My favorite bakery in Raleigh. it’s the place I go for a reliable loaf of bread and coffee+biscuits for breakfast on weekends. They’ve never let me down and like many others have mentioned, the vibes are immaculate. I get the biscuit with a side of sausage and it’s simple and satisfying every time. Their drip coffee is also world-class.

This place makes my soul smile. You can feel the love oozing out of every bite. They have semi-seasonal menus. One of the very few places where I order a veggie sandwich and I get full off of half of it. The bread is packed with earthy grains and the combination of tahini and romesco sauce is a match made in heaven. 🥰 The slices have the perfect thickness and heartiness to grab all that yummy sauce. The beet greens and fresh sprouts are so crisp, cool and refreshing. This is my favorite breakfast spot to sneak off too when I’m by myself. It’s not cheap but its worth the splurge every so often. They sell bread by the loaf so its very affordable to grab a loaf or two for a weekend meal. The bakery is stellar but I haven’t made my way through the menu yet because I keep ordering that vegan sandwich. I haven’t been in a few weeks but it looks like they have updated their menu to a hot version of the vegan sandwich for fall. Not mad at that 🤷🏾‍♀️!

Putting the Special in Union Special. Between their bakery and pastries they're out of control then add the kitchen menu in there... Every right to be called special. The brunch specials are always on point and so are the special sandos. Coffee Cake. it slaps. Chocolate Monkey Bread and Pecan Monkey Bread. Delicious. Union Egg Sandwich with bacon added. I can eat two in one day. Pound cake is thicc with two C's. It's delicious, freshly made food by awesome people that love what they do. Also the CSVANW menu was just unreal. The pork chop and roasted grape toast were amazing and that cabbage steak & potatoes just stole the show. Looking forward to another Gay-Fil-A happening!

Been wanting to try this place and finally got to this morning for breakfast. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday, so I was worried it would be packed—but it wasn’t and we didn’t have to wait long for our food and iced lattes either. Also, we had the option of dining indoors and outside. Indoor area wasn’t super spacious so we went outside. I got the biscuits & gravy and MERCY, it was delicious! The pickled peppers just took it to the next level! My mother got the ham sandwich and added an egg—she said it was as amazing as it looked. My toddler got scrambled eggs. I appreciated the well thought out menu and ingredients. They also had quite the assortment of pastries in addition to the menu items. My mom and I both will definitely be back..& with more family members, I’m sure!

How does one fall in love with a chicken caesar wrap? Cater your company/event lunch through Union and find out... I have been a supporter of this business for years (shout out to the dozens of hot ham sandwiches (RIP) and the BLTs I craved & devoured during pregnancy). My company, Levitate, caters lunch regularly from here, and today I had the most flavorful, delicious chicken caesar wrap OF MY LIFE. Mind blown. Keep being awesome!

Drove down today from the Wake Forest area to ease a breakfast sandwich craving. Ordered The Union Egg Sandwich. The egg was perfect, the brioche nicely steamed, the right amount of cheese, hash brown was crunchy. Got some bread and a pastry to go. Nice space to sit for lunch. Will be back 10/10.

One of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh. The every day menu is good enough for this to one of the better restaurants, but the rotating specials are where its at. We started almost exclusively ordering the specials when we go and the only disappointment has been when they are removed from the menu. Its disappointing that the restaurant that makes the best French Toast, Chopped Cheese sandwich, Biscuits and Gravy and Buffalo Chicken Wrap that Ive personally had in Raleigh doesnt have those every time I come in. I do not really come here for their baked sweets or coffee as those are only a little above average. Their breads are really good too, but you owe ut to yourself to co.e and try one of their specials.

Been coming here since post shutdown and service, food, and everything has always been top tier!!! Love love LOVE the sourdough! And also huge fan of house the bread is made in house and you can see the process while you enjoy said bread! Never had anything close to a bad experience here. Highly recommend! (Also the cashiers are very happy to give recommendations if you can’t decide. Also have sliced sourdough available for purchase which is very convenient since it is notoriously hard to slice at home)

Excellent atmosphere, great tunes, lovely decorations and wonderful staff. My husband got the Cuban (look at that cheese pull!) and I got the Union Egg sandwich. I highly recommend the Chow Chow aioli as a substitute or on the side. We shared an order of fresh sourdough with sorghum butter and it was absolutely delightful, so crunchy. I especially loved the butter and had quite a bit to take home. I also highly recommend one of the sodas from a local NC company, Bingo-Bango. The strawberry lemonade was sweet, lightly tart and very refreshing. Great experience all around. I recommend coming as early in the day as possible to sample more of their delicious baked goods.
